of its staff and customers.
RoSPA Gold Award winners are also recognised for their high
level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational
health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding
control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Karl Lee, West Coast Network Services Managing Director
comments: "To have been recognised with this award is a huge
testament to our team and the effort they put in to making West
Coast Network Services one of the safest places to work. It is an
honour that we are all very proud of.
"It is also extremely satisfying when others appreciate your
hard work and best practice. I can only applaud the compliance and
operational teams who have genuinely placed safety at the forefront
of their daily activities."
This year the RoSPA awards were sponsored by the National
Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health, the leading
health and safety examining board. The ceremony also took place
alongside the Safety & Health Expo 2010, the largest of its
kind in Europe and attracting thousands of visitors to the
show.
David Rawlins, RoSPA's award manager comments: "As well as there
being strong ethical reasons and legal requirements for good health
and safety management, there is also a very robust business case.
We are delighted to award companies like West Coast Network
Services for its dedication and commitment to this area of its
business."
