West Coast Network Services is sponsoring the pole climbing
competition at this year's Royal Welsh Show at the Royal Welsh
Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, from 19th to 22nd July
2010.
This popular agricultural show attracts over 220,000 people
annually, with the pole climbing competition being one of the most
popular events.
The two 100ft poles stand in the forestry area of the showground
and people compete to see how quickly they can climb them - a feat
of strength, nerve and agility.
Climbing to this height isn't a far cry from the daily working
activities of WCNS field staff, who undertake vegetation management
around overhead lines. As the UK's fastest growing
Arboricultural Company, West Coast Network Services specialises in
Arboriculture, Utility Arboriculture and working at
height.
West Coast Network Services operates throughout the UK,
providing exciting employment opportunities for skilled workers
such as Groundworkers, Arboriculturalists, Surveyors and Overhead
Electrical Linesmen, with comprehensive training and
development. See the careers section for details of current
opportunities.
