WCNS in Pole Position at the Royal Welsh Show

Climbing to heights isn’t anything new to WCNS field staff, who undertake vegetation management around overhead lines. West Coast Network Services is challenging members of the public to climb 100ft poles as sponsor of the pole climbing competition at this year’s Royal Welsh Show at the Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, from 19th to 22nd July 2010.


West Coast Network Services wins prestigious Health & Safety award

West Coast Network Services has been presented with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold Award at the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards. West Coast Network Services was awarded at the event in Birmingham on May 11th for its commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its staff and customers.


West Coast Network Services opens new depot and creates 70 jobs

West Coast Network Services, part of the West Coast Energy Group of companies, has opened a new depot in Moorgreen, Nottinghamshire creating 50 new jobs in the East Midlands area. In addition, West Coast Network Services has also expanded both its Stoke and Cheshire offices, creating a further 20 jobs.


West Coast Network Services secures £5m contract

West Coast Network Services, part of the West Coast Energy Group of companies, has secured the new contract for the Moorgreen area that covers both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The contract is worth £5m per annum to West Coast Network Services and will commence in January 2010.

West Coast Network Services is proud to have been awarded ISO 14001 Environmental standard.


West Coast Group gets gardening and giving away

Staff at the West Coast Group of companies are used to working on projects that benefit the environment - it’s just they usually they involve renewable energy and vegetation maintenance rather than gardening gloves. The Mold-based renewable energy developer, West Coast Energy has introduced an onsite vegetable patch, to be tended by a team of staff volunteers. In addition, it has donated heavy-duty work clothing from one of its subsidiaries, West Coast Network Services, to Oxfam.


West Coast Network Services to defend title at Utility Arb Conference

A West Coast Network Services team will again be competing in the Utility Skills Competition to uphold the winner’s title. We successfully beat 9 other teams to be awarded with the trophy last year!
